Certified Personal Trainer
About ten years ago, Julie began training for triathlons. Having been a runner since high school and an avid cyclist, she decided to return to the pool after many years away and take on a new challenge. What started as a personal goal eventually led her to complete a full Ironman Triathlon.
While endurance sports have become a major part of Julie’s life, her path to fitness wasn’t always straightforward. As a child and teenager, she struggled with body image and was often bullied about her weight. She first started going to the gym simply to lose weight, but weight training ultimately gave her something far more valuable — confidence, resilience, and a lifelong tool for maintaining her health.
Although endurance sports are her primary passion, Julie understands the critical role strength training plays in performance, injury prevention, and long-term health. Lifting weights helps her maintain muscle mass, protect bone density, and continue doing the outdoor activities she loves — from cross-country skiing and hiking to cycling and swimming.
As an outdoor enthusiast who values longevity and quality of life, Julie is passionate about helping others build the strength they need to stay active for years to come. She works especially well with clients who want to move better, feel stronger, and continue enjoying the activities they love throughout life.
Julie’s philosophy: Lift for life — strength for longevity, confidence, and an active future. 💪
